A journey of a thousand miles begins (and continues) with a single step. This definitely seems to be Olight’s mantra when it comes to their now signature Baton series. Working continuously to improve already quality lights, in a manner reminiscent of eating an elephant, one bite at a time.
The majority of threats occur in the dark. Whether it’s from animal predators or human, dark seems to be when danger lurks nearest. Many people choose to have a weapon to help deal with these threats, whether through deterrent or through action. Not having enough light means that you’re only prepared for threats that occur during the day. Most people still simply carry a quality flashlight, however some people prefer to use a dedicated weaponlight.
With the lumens race still heating up, finding innovative ways to cram incredible light into ever shrinking packages has become the norm. Revisiting previous torches with iterative advancements is also something Olight is known for. Combining these two givens into one torch can yield some very interesting results
Olight continues to expand their cadre of excellent photonic offerings with further options, this time adding to their impressive duty light line. Who doesn’t love options?
True to its namesake, the SR52-UT is absolutely an intimidating light, albeit in a much smaller package than the heritage associated with the SR badging generally offers.
Olight seems to have taken to heart their love of iterative advancement and bumped up the release schedule dramatically.
How small do you want your superlight? Olight would like to make a suggestion. How about supremely pocketable? Barely noticeable?
At this point, it’s getting to where I need to start simply detailing the differences that each new version Olight offers, rather than going through all the same basics.
Bigger and brighter. Most of the time when a flashlight company comes out with a new product, this is the direction they choose. With Olight lately, this hasn’t always been the case. I guess we were just about due for something like this.
